Intro: Paper Sticks

These paper sticks can be used as drum sticks, pointers and to annoy your friends.

These are really easy to make and take a second.

Great thing to do when you have down time in school.

Your Friends will envy you!!!

This Is my first Instructable so give me a break

Thanks,

STEP 1: Materials ~ You Should Gather These Fast!!!

You need...

1. Piece of Paper, letter or legal (Doesn't Matter)

2. Flat Desk

3. Piece of tape (1" long, or so)

STEP 2: Roll Piece of Paper

You have to carefully start the initial roll of the piece of paper. Otherwise it gets more difficult the more you try.

You need to keep the roll as tight as you can.

After you do this you should pay attention to the angle of how you are rolling it otherwise it will not turn out right.

You want the roll to take up the the lower side corner up first then about an inch into the roll later you want to take the upper corner.

STEP 3: Tape Rolled Paper

Then without letting it slip you want to tape the flap down and it will hold.

STEP 4: Use It ~ Go Crazy

You can use it to or as...

1. To poke your friends or enemies (insert evil laugh)

2. Use as arrow for bow.

3. Use as drumsticks

4. Etc. Etc. Etc.

You can also use these for building - especially if you make triangles by taping three sticks together.

Also, some people find it easier to begin with a toothpick in the corner to help in rolling the paper
I know an easier and faster way of rolling the paper to approximately the size of the one in the pic. in the intro. I'll post an instructable on that if I can get my camera rolling. Nice work anyway. 'says to self : now where's that ice cream?'
Yeah this method is great to add strength to paper. Cylinders are very strong.
i thought i was the only one who knew this technique... I made a sturdy crossbow out of this technique and even use the same way to make the arrow. Plus rubber bands, anyway i shot just one of the sticks at a shoe box and it went straight through.
I saw an instructable that used these to make paper armour.
