Introduction: Parametric Fashion Element

About: An Architect who loves building stuff!!

This is an experimental design project where you can either follow these steps to create a design, use this example as-is, or explore different possibilities. It's important to note that sometimes your efforts will succeed, and other times you may need to backtrack and try different approaches.

Step 1: Component Development

The first step is to create the component following the steps shown in the picture. It's a complex component, made by joining 2 components.

Alternatively , you can use a pre-made component such as a cone, straw, or a simple square of paper. The simpler the component, the easier it will be to work with during the proliferation process.

Step 2: Production

Make multiple components.

Step 3: Proliferation

Join the components. Experiment to join components in different ways. Or like in the picture.

Step 4: Final Planning

After understanding how the components come together to shape the form, proceed to plan your final piece.

Here's my plan.

Step 5: Final Product

Join the components as per plan. And done. Enjoy your product. You can use this as sleeves or a neck line or scarf. You can also make this using felt or some stiffer material.
