Introduction: Perfection Loop
The Perfection Loop (a.k.a. Angler's Loop) makes a very secure knot.
It should be used as a permanent knot. It jams when pulled tight and can be difficult to untie.
In this instructable I will show two methods of tying this knot.
Step 1: Method # 1
Bring working end (WE) under the standing end forming a bight.
Step 2:
Bring WE over the standing end forming a loop.
Step 3:
Bring WE under the bight.
Step 4:
Bring WE back over the bight.
Step 5:
Bring the loop (step 2) over the WE and down through the bight.
Step 6:
Tighten.
Step 7: Method # 2
Wrap cord three times around dowel (fingers).
Step 8:
Bring first turn under the other two.
Step 9:
Bring the next turn over, under the other two turns.
Step 10:
Remove knot from dowel and tighten.
