Introduction: Pinball Machine

I made a pinball machine because I have always liked them and thought that making one in fusion would be fun.

Supplies

A computer, Fusion3 360

Step 1: Creating the Legs

The first thing I did was create a new component, then make a sketch on the X plane. I started with a rectangle from the origin point with a width of 28.5 in and a length of 51 inches. Then, I created four rectangles in each corner and set the measurements of one to 3 in wide and 4 in long. Then, I used the equal constraint to set the other rectangles equal for the legs. I then extruded that with 20.5 in.

Step 2: Create the Body

The next step was creating a new sketch on top of one of the legs. I then made a rectangle from one of the corners and dragged it all the way to the opposite corner. You can measure the dimensions to see if it matches the first rectangle you used to ensure you have the correct size. Then create a sketch on one of the sides of the long sides of the pinball machine, and at the back create a line that is 8.5 in tall, then create a line from the top of that to the other end. Repeat this on the other side.

Step 3: Details to the Body

Extrude both by -1, then change the operation from cut to join. Then, create a sketch from one of the two thin lines you just created, and create a rectangle from the lower corner to the other side with a length of ten inches. Then finish the sketch and extrude it -3 inches, and change the operation from cut to join as well.

Step 4: Adding the Backboard

Create a sketch on the back of the pinball machine. Create a rectangle that is 2.5 in tall and the same width as the rest of the pinball machine, which is 28.5 in. Create another rectangle in the middle, create two lines on both sides in between the two rectangles, and make one of the 2 in. long. Make the lines colinear, then set them equal so the rectangle is put in the middle. After this, you can delete the two lines. Once that is finished you can set the height of the middle rectangle to 28.5 in.

Step 5: Finishing the Backboard

Extrude the middle rectangle to -1.5 in. and make sure that the operation is in join. Then extrude the other rectangle to 2.5 in. If your sketch disappears after extruding the first rectangle, try going under the first component, sketches, and then turn the visibility of sketch 6 on. I then repeated what I did in step 3 to create a piece from in between the actual game and the backboard. For this, I used a width of only 5 in. and extruded it to -10 in with the operation set as join.

Step 6: Finishing Details

This final step is optional, but if you want to put extra detail on you can add 2 buttons on the side and a lever to pull in the front. On one side, create two different circles on top of each other, one with a diameter of 3 and the other with a diameter of 2. Extrude the circle with a diameter of 3 by .5 and extrude the circle with a diameter of 2 by 1. Do the same on the other side.

Then on the front create a circle with a diameter of 1 in. and extrude that by 2 in. On top of that circle, add another in the middle with a diameter of 2.5. Finish that sketch and extrude that circle by .5 in.
