Introduction: Pinolé Oatmeal

The Raramurí canyon runners of northern Mexico eat pinolé cakes and oatmeal to fuel their 100 mile runs through elevated terrain. The mixture of natural oats, grains, seeds, and water provides a substantial amount of calories while controlling blood sugar and maintaining energy for hours at a time.

If only one of the Raramurí people could share with you how to make this incredible meal, you could feel the advantage these ancient people have in the modern world.
