Intro: Polymer Clay Dracula Medallion!

I made this really easy Dracula medallion with some fimo, and a little imagination.
Have you ever seen those medals that Dracula wears, and thought, "That would be the perfect addition to my vampire costume, but I can't find them in stores!" Well, this this the perfect ible for you, and if you stay tuned, I've added a bonus step about a sheriff's badge.
Mwahahahahaha
(Please vote for me in the Halloween contest!)

STEP 1: You Will Need:

You will need all the items pictured above as well as:
Some PVA or hot glue
Red thread and a needle
Jump ring with needle
An oven
And some elbow grease!

STEP 2: Kneading and Rolling

This was my first time working with Fimo "effects" and it is quite a bit harder to work with than regular Fimo or Fimo soft.
To begin to make the cross you need to have a ball/tube of clay about the size of your thumb. Knead this as much as you can, and remember, add as much friction as you can, and rub your hands very quickly. Once it is kneadable, put it on the wax paper and roll it out to the approximate thickness of a poker chip.

STEP 3: Cut a Rectangle

Once it is all rolled out, cut the clay into a rectangle about 1 1/4 inch by 4 1/3 inches.

STEP 4: Cut the Spikes

I found a really easy way of doing this. First find the approximate middle of your rectangle and make a notch. Then find the vertical middle, and slide the knife all the way up. From this middle notch cut two small diagonal lines in. (I can't explain it very well so look at the pictures) From those two lines just cut out and you should now have three spikes. Repeat this step for the other end of the rectangle. From the centre point you notched, carve lines out to the point of each spike.
Sorry, my camera was pretty bad.... :O

STEP 5: Do It ALL Again! :P

Repeat steps 2-5 to make another spiky rectangle thingy. :D

STEP 6: The Middle Starry Thing

Do a similar thing to step 2, rolling and kneading the clay. It takes quite a bit of effort! Roll out the clay. Then use your cookie cutter to cut out a star.

STEP 7: Put It All Together

Place one rectangle on top of the other then place the star on top.

STEP 8: BONUS STEP!

Make another star, and then roll tiny balls and attach them to each point. This makes a Sheriff's badge! Hurray!

STEP 9: Add the Ring

Push the jump ring into the clay and cover it with some more. This should be on the back so no-one will see it.

STEP 10: Cook It Up!

Cook for however long the manufacturers instructions say for. Mine was 30 mins 120ºC.

STEP 11: While Its Baking...

During the baking process is an excellent time to prep the ribbon. Simply measure out the length you need, cut two diagonals, and sew them up. The fold up the point and sew that in. You should have a loop to slide the cord through later.

STEP 12: Make the Gem Stay!

When the cooking is done, apply a little glue to the gem and glue it on.

STEP 13: Finishing Touches...

Insert the cord into the loop of the ribbon and the jump ring and tie it off tight. Hide the knot, and if need be, smear some glue on the loose fluffy bits to make them stay.
Now wear it with a fancy suit and some fake teeth!
