Introduction: Practice Rope Dart & Meteor
Rope darts and single headed meteors are very similar, the only difference is that the meteors use blunt heads while Rope darts use piercing heads. Here are instructions to make a simple practice object
Step 1: Materials
You will need a lacrosse ball or hard rubber ball, an eye screw, and 8-15 ft. of rope (I like nylon because you can burn the ends and they won't fray).
(optional) - Power drill with a very small drill bit (make it alot smaller then the eye screw)

Step 2: Making the Head
Take the eye screw, apply pressure, and twist it into the ball until your at the base. You can use the small drill bit to start the hole which will make it a lot easier.
Step 3: Tying the Head
Take the rope, thread it through, double it up and tie it. If you don't know what i mean its the same knot used to tie poi. (Here's a video I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Gx0z2gdLLo )
Step 4: Practice
Now here is the fun part, go out and use it, if you don't know where to start here are some videos I've found

They have an entire series that this one links to so I won't post them

Step 5: Extra: Handle Loop
Now that you've played a bit and figured out how long you like your equipment time to make the handle. Just like with attaching the head, make the double knot and your done.
