Introduction: QR Manual Locator

So a little bit of background, I work as a technician in a theatre and tend to be up high access equipment rigging cameras and such other devices quite regularly.
Now, I'm not the biggest fan of GoPro menus as I always forget what is what on them, and because we are using them for recording in different styles, using them for live feed, and also have different models, it can soon become necessary to find the manual.

When you are working at height you need to be focused on the job and the surroundings so I am not going to say that using a phone while you are up it is a good idea, but sometimes it's the only option.
This Instructable is here to save you some time and to make life a lot easier.

Step 1: Get Fed Up of Having to Find Manuals for a Piece of Equipment

Here we have a GoPro Hero which I am fed up with having to find the manual for.

Step 2: Find Manual Location Online

Go online and find the manual for your selected device - in this case go to the GoPro website.

Step 3: Search the Tinterweb for a QR Generator

Using your favourite search engine, search for a QR generator.
Generate a QR of the URL for the manual. And print the image onto a sticky label. I used a Dymo label maker for convenience.

Step 4: Add QR Code to Device

Add the label containing the QR code on to the device in question.

Now next time you need the manual, all you need to do is scan the QR code.

Life is now a lot simpler.
Enjoy! x
