Introduction: Raised Flower Bed
Here are some photos of the raised flower beds I made. I have also made an assembly drawing. The table shows the part number but actually those are the dimensions of each piece of wood. It shows 2x4x30 that’s a standard 2x4 by 30 inch long. I used 1x6 by 6 foot long red wood fencing planks and red wood 2x4’s I also used the 1x6 red wood fencing planks to make the 1x2x24 slats that go in the bottom. I screwed it to gather using #6 deck screws 1-5/8” long. Make sure to pre drill the holes with counter sink so you do not crack the wood. If it does crack not a problem it only a flower bed. After I was done I lined the bottom with ¼” wire mesh to help support the soil from falling through the 1x2 slats. You can by this in a roll that is 24” wide by 10 feet long at Lowe's. Next I placed black weed barrier on top of the wire mesh to help keep the soil in. After that I used Raised flower bed soil (Also at Lowe's) One bag fits well.

16) Fill the inside with Raised flower bed soil (Also at Lowes) One bag fits well.
