Introduction: Raw/Vegan Chocolate
Absolutely delicious chocolate you wont feel guilty about!
In 10 minutes & only a few ingredients....It's so quick and easy I've only got one photo and step;
You need:
- half cup of coconut oil, cacao butter and cacao powder
- quarter cup of agave syrup (or to your taste) - you can also use honey or fruit to sweeten... honey is great, like Toblerones mmmmm.....
- topping (if you like, I've used slivered almonds on mine, pictured)
Step 1: Mix It Up & Set It!
Melt it all in a double boiler situation (I used glass pyrex sitting in an inch of water in a pot on the stove) on a medium heat, you want to melt, not boil.
Once completely dissolved & mixed, pour into a shallow container lined with baking paper, top with whatever you like (fruit, nuts, chilli etc) and place in freezer for about 20-30 minutes depending on the thickness....
Just a note, the first time I did this my pour was too thick so the agave separated slightly and had time to sink to the bottom of the mix before it hardened, so it didn't set and the sweetness wasn't distributed... luckily with this though you can chuck it back in the glass to melt and try again :-D
it's truly delicious, and I'd have to add just a little bit would be quite the addition to a healthy diet! Xx
Forgot to mention.... store it in the fridge once it's set
