Lets upcycle some of your old chopsticks to make a hanging vase or plant stand.

Supplies

6 chopsticks

A 3d printer and filament

Step 1: Print Your 3d Printed Parts

I designed all the 3d printed pieces in Tinkercad

Slice and print the following stl files - all can be printed without supports

1 x base

1 x pot

1 x spacer

1 x top

4 x connector

* If you want to use your chopstick stand to hold a plant you will also need to print 1 x plant insert

Step 2: Build the Base

Take your chopsticks and place them into the holes in the base.

Take your spacer and slide the tops of the chopsticks through the round holes

Step 3: Hang the Pot

Take your 4 connectors, slide them up through the square holes in the space and over the inside lip (see photo 2 for correct positioning).

Now take your pot and hang it from the bottom of the connectors using the same technique.

Step 4: Pop the Top On

Add the top, making sure all chopsticks are fully inserted

* The stand is designed to be stable just slotted together but if you wish to glue any parts - now is the time to do so.

Step 5: A Chopstick Vase Or....

The stand is now ready to use as a vase to showcase beautiful single flowers or small sets of wild flowers.

Step 6: A Chopstick Plant Stand

If you want to use the stand for a plant.

Add the insert into the pot, this create a small water reservoir at the bottom.

Add soil and a plant of your choice.

Enjoy!
