Introduction: Shoebox Shelf (Cardboard)

Want a to build a shelf? Have plenty of boxes? Well then todays your lucky day, internet!

Step 1: Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Cardboard boxes of any kind, will actually do, but it should be noted that I used a variety of medium sized boxes. It's also good to have more than what you need, as I used some extra wood from the boxes as supports, since cardboard isn't the strongest material out there.

Step 2: Step 2: Assembly

Here's where the fun part comes in. Have you ever seen a mismatched drawers that just have such a pleasing asymmetrical design that you just needed it in your life? No?... Well, it's optional. Finding several empty boxes is the easy part, making sure they'd fit together in a symmetrical design, not as easy, but all of your past shoeboxes should do.

"But how did you assemble it?" You may ask, well it was a simple matter of shaping off the parts of cardboard I didn't need, cutting it off with scissors, and simply fitting together the boxes of my choice. Once I decided how it was going to be arranged, I just used glue for a bond and to allow the glue to settle in the same fashion I applied, I used tape to keep it secure.

Remember, the end result you see is really just what I wanted to do, but you can arrange you boxes (of practically any kind) in a different pattern or style. Just be sure to check the stability of your cardboard layout because after all, extra supports may be required depending on the way you put together your box shelf.

Step 3: Step 3: Be Proud

If you want, an optional "ground" support can be added so the back angled column stands straight, but that's not necessary for the final design. Hopefully, you made something you're proud of, and remember, this up top is only a guideline. Hope you enjoy.
