Introduction: Simple Metal Trinkets
This is a simple way for someone to make something of their own out of metal. The possibilities are endless; you could make a game piece, necklace piece, or trinket.
Step 1: Supplies
1.Modeling clay.
2.Lead free Solder (Lead based solder is toxic so be careful about what kind you use).
3.heat source (I used a butane lighter which worked well).*be careful when handling objects while they may still be hot
4.soldering iron (optional): can help you create or fix the shape you are wanting to create.
5.non toxic paint (optional): in order to paint your creation however you want.

Step 2: Creating the Mold
•Once you decide what you would like to create, it's time to create the mold out of some clay.
•There are many ways you can do this: you could simply use your hands to make an impression into the clay, press an object into the clay to leave an impression behind, or even other carve out the shape you want.(if you need more ideas or tips you can always look at tutorials of how to molded clay)
•The cracks or imperfections can be gotten out by rubbing your fingers over them.(it helps if you use a little water on your finger)
•Once you've finished shaping your mold you need to harden it by cooking it in the oven (I actually let mine air dry a little overnight and then put it in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20min without preheating in the morning).

Step 3: Using the Mold
•Now that you have finished creating your mold you can add in the solder and melt it down using your torch or other heat source.
*Note: this should be done outside in a ventilated area because of the fumes the solder gives off.
•Once the metal cools down you can then remove it from the clay.
•Now you can use the lighter/torch and soldering iron to fix or reshape the metal as needed.

Step 4: Embellishing
•Now that your done making your creation it's time to add your finishing touches.
•You can make it your own by painting it with your own design, making a hole for a necklace, or anything else you would like to do.
