Introduction: Simple Rover

About: Architect, Engineer, Designer. PhD student of architecture which uses his knowledge to create.

Simple Rover is one STL file designed by treedinstitute.com - When printed, it is a toy which uses simple machine : wheel and axle. All you need is any 3d modeling software, a software to prepare your print and a 3d printer with material of your choice.

Step 1: Preparing the Model

This is the bottom part where two wheels and the connecting part are printed separately.

Step 2: Preparing the Model 2

This is on the half way, where the wheels and the middle are inter connected.

Step 3: Printing Position

The idea is to model three pieces which interlock so the wheels can be turned. The shape is a bit adjusted so the print goes more smoothly. As the toy is not so big, and the pieces are relatively small, I suggest slow print. It is important to position the model in the way presented on the images so it is finished from one print.

Step 4: Final Product
