Introduction: Simple Scented Fire Starter

Simple Scented Fire Starters

If you have a wood heater, fireplace, or just want to light an outdoor fire, this quick and easy to make
tool is for you. Don’t throw away wax from your leftover candles or candle warmers. Store that wax in an empty tin can and make your own fire starters. Instead of lighting paper to start your fire, use a fire starter. It is quick and easy and will also make your room smell great!

Step 1: Simple Scented Fire Starters

1. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper cupcake liners or spray with cooking spray.

2. Place a small pinecone in each muffin cup then melt the wax in the can over very low heat on stovetop or in a slow cooker. Slowly pour or spoon wax over each pinecone until wax is about ½-inch deep in muffin cups.

3. Set aside and allow wax to completely harden.

4. Pop out fire starters by gently tapping on bottom of each muffin cup.
