Introduction: Simple Mini Crossbow

This mini crossbow project is easy to make and shoots q-tips 15 ft+. Just remember to be safe:)

Step 1: Supplies

The things you will need to make this project are;

A hot glue gun
Scissors
3 Popsicle sticks
A rubber band
A piece of paper
Masking tape
Paper clip
Toothpicks for ammunition
Clipping pliers

Step 2: Bending Front Frame

To bend front frame, run Popsicle stick under hot water (without burning yourself!) then cut triangles on either side so the rubber band can fit. Then glue part of the rubber on the front.

Step 3: Installing Loading Chamber

First cut a third off of your 2nd Popsicle stick. To make the loading chamber fold a 2•2inch piece in half then in half again then slightly wedge the paper in between the 2/3 &1/3 Popsicle stick. Then glue.

Step 4: Attaching the 2 Pieces

This step is simple, all you have to do is find the the center of the front (approx 1inch from the end) an glue the two together.

Step 5: Mounting the Trigger

To do this you will need your paper clip. Glue it onto either side of the back end and trim so just a stick of the paper clip is showing. When you are done with that take a piece of tape and wrap it around the back middle of the rubber band.

Step 6: How to Fire the Crossbow

Now you're done! To fire the crossbow ,pull the rubber band back and let it rest on the tip of the paper clip. Then put the toothpick in the loading area (slightly sticking out the back. Finally flick your thumb up to let the rubber band release and fire. If not working, try adjusting the angle of the paper clip or where the toothpick sits.
