Introduction: Small Outdoor Coffee Table
This is a small table that goes well on a deck, or a plant stand. This is made distressed, the longer its outside the better it will look.I used all oak boards for long outdoor life.Anyone with basic woodwork skills can build this with just a power saw and finishing nails.
Step 1: Tools & Supplys
This is a very easy project that can be done with a powersaw & finishing nails. My table is made out of pallet wood.I wont spend time on how to take apart a pallet, plenty of instructables on it.You need 4 boards,2 pallet slats.Dont be to fussy about the wood, this gets distressed.Try and get 3 boards of the same thickness for the top.
Step 2: Cut & Paint
My table is 16"x31" it will vary depending on how wide your boards are.
(6)-16" boards for top
(2) 1 1/2"x31" for sides
(2)1 1/2"x14 1/2" for sides
(4)16" pallet slats
Paint the red, white, blue, gray.I dont paint where the wood comes in contact with wood as i like to glue my projects.Use the cheapest water based paint you can find.
Step 3: Paint and Sand
After all parts are painted(here's the fun part).Sand the paint enough that the grain starts showing. When you are good with the sanding blow all the paint dust off and stain all parts.I like golden oak by minwax.
Step 4: Nail It Up
Pretty basic from here, nail it up,i use outdoor glue on all the nail joints. Also use contersunk screws on the legs.
This is my first instructable, any questions hit me up.

Step 5: Polyurathane
Forgot the poly, helps it weather and brings out the color.
