Introduction: Sound-Find Your Phone at Night
This project is similar to Sound activated Light for the Clock, but this time we use a mobile phone.
Are you a person who likes to check the mobile phone during the night?
Checking what time it is?
Writing down a million dollar idea?
Sometimes it's not easy to find the phone in the dark. You know it's on the bedside table, but you can't see it, so you end up dropping it.
In this project, we will add a LED and a Sound sensor to the mobile phone's magnetic flip case.
To find the phone at night, all you need to do is make a sound.
You can do it by:
- Blowing at the direction of the mobile phone
- Tapping on the table
- Clapping
- Making other sounds
Sound sensor will pick up the sound and LED will light up.
For this project you'll need:
- Chibitronics Sound Sensor
- Chibitronics LED
- Chibitronics Copper Tape
- 3V Battery
Step 1:
Start marking the points where the sensor and LED will go.
Chibitronics stencil was great for the job.
Step 2:
Prepare the connection between the Sensor, LED and the Battery.
Battery goes under the magnetic flip. There are 2 magnets in the case. One in the flip and the other one in the case.
Perfect to use it as a battery holder.
Make one side of the magnetic flip's copper positive + and copper under the magnetic flip negative -
Add the sensor and the LED.
When you go to bed, take the battery and put it under the magnetic flip. Now your phone is ready to be found in dark.
Just blow at the direction of the phone and you will see the LED lighting up.
