The ingredients are simple and I am fortunate enough to share the recipe here so you guys can make the same and enjoy this delicious food. The whole process will take under an hour.

Equipment's required:

  • Cutting knife
  • Cutting pad
  • Gas stove
  • Grinder/Mixie and Jar
  • Medium size Frying pan
  • Cooking spoon

Supplies

Ingredients:

  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Chilly powder
  • Pepper power
  • Garam masala
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves
  • Water
  • Cooking oil

Step 1: Preparing

Fish Preparation

Prepare the fish by washing and rinsing in water. Clean the fish by cutting off excess grills and wastes from the fish. Cut the middle portion so you can get the maximum area for cooking. Cut out 3 or more such pieces with thickness ranging from 1-2 cm.. Make sure the flesh is washed correctly before proceeding further.

Ingredients Preparation

Mix the following ingredients:

  • 1 onion chopped into smaller pieces
  • 3-4 garlic pieces
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Chilly powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Pepper powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Salt- 1/2 tea spoon
  • 2-3 tea spoons of water

Put all these ingredients in a Jar and grind it for 4-5 minutes in a Grinder/Mixie to get it in a semi liquid paste form.

Marinating

Apply this paste on the fish thoroughly and keep it for at least 1 hour.

Step 2: Let's Cook

Keep the pan on the stove and pour 2-3 table spoon cooking oil. Keep the pan for 2-3 mins in medium flame so that the oil gets heated up for frying.

Put the pieces of fish in oil according to the size of the fish and pan area.

Let the fish get cooked up for 10 mins in the oil and then flip it over to other side for another 10 mins.

Once it is done, take out the fish and place it in a plate for serving.

Step 3: Serving

You can serve this with or without any decorations. People usually eat this with their lunch and dinner.

But more number of people nowadays eat this as evening snack with some drinks. The spicy aroma adds up to the taste when garnished with curry leaves and sauce.
