Introduction: Spirograph Earings :)

About: Hi, I am a 15 year old girl who likes reading and studying God's word. I like to read, write and craft. I love to craft, but I don't like buying a bunch of fancy expensive materials. I also love to volunteer…

This is a quick, easy project that has a cool result. The best part is that they are big earings that are light, and won't hurt your ears. And there are so many possibilities!

What you'll need:

  1. A couple of spirographs that are about the same size.
  2. Scissors
  3. Stud earings

Let's get started!

Step 1: Making the Spirals

Now I will not give very specific instructions on this, the main thing is that they should be two of the around the same size, or colors and styles that coordinate. I wouldn't recommend making huge ones, simply because it would look a little funny. Other than that, go wild! Have fun! Everybody has their own style.

Step 2: Cutting Out the Spiral, and Punching the Hole.

Nest step, cutting out the spiral, depending on what kind of spiral it is, this could be simple or hard. If they are really hard to cut out try cutting an even circle around them and see if they look OK. Once you are done cutting them out, take a simple stud earing and punch it through somewhere towards the edge of the spiral, and voila (that's French for "there is"), you have a spiral earing. Do the same thing to both spirals. A good thing about these is they're removable, so you can make more and change them out on the same studs.

Step 3: Finishing Touch Tips.

Your earings are finished, but here are a couple of things you could do to make them nicer.

  • If you want your earings to be more.... durable, you could laminate them and re-punch the holes with a needle.
  • Glitter glue would make them pretty.
  • You could string a couple of beads through the bottom, making them fancier looking.
  • If you glued to spirals back to back, the earings would be thicker and the back wouldn't be plain white.

Congrats! You made your own earings! The possibilities are endless, so keep going! Any tips? Please tell me in the comment section! Thanks! Have a great day!
