Introduction: Stellar Snoozer
This quilt is out of this world! It's made up with half square triangles of space fabric and several other colors. It's perfect to use as a throw!
Step 1: Step 1 : Piecing the Quilt Top
You will cut half square triangles with different fabrics and place them in the desired layout you want.
Step 2: Step 2: Quilt Sandwich
Once you've sewn all HST together and have a completed quilt top, you will layer the quilt sandwich. This is made up of the quilt top, batting, and the quilt backing. The batting is what makes the blanket heavy/light and warmer/cooler. Wool is usually the warmest batting. For this, I used a cotton blend.
Step 3: Step 3: Quilting
Once you have the quilt sandwich adhered or pinned together, you will start from the middle of the quilt, and sew through all the layers in the desired pattern. I sewed out diagonally from middle to the end of the quilt. It looked radiant. There were certain sections that had more quilted lines than others, so it wouldn't look all the same.
Step 4: Step 4: Binding
Once the quilting is complete, you will trim the corners and sew on the binding. This is made up of a long strip of fabric that is folded over from the back of the quilt to the front for a nice finish.
