Introduction: Sun Made Ice Tea

About: I am a person who just enjoys sitting down in their free time, listening to a podcast or some music, and making a variety of things.

Iced tea has never been so simple! Pour some water, add some tea bags, and leave your beverage out in the sun to absorb all the flavor while you enjoy the hot summer day. Once it's done you can pour yourself a glass and marvel at the simplicity while you dive into your most recent read, watch an episode of your favorite show, sweat in the garden, or sit around with your friends. A summer treat made by the sun itself.

Step 1: Supplies and Ingredients

The ingeniousness to this recipe is that it only requires supplies that would be in the common household.

You will need:

  • A glass jar with a lid
  • Water
  • Tea bags (1 for each cup of water)
  • A hot and sunny spot

Step 2: Fill Jar With Water

Fill your jar with water. The amount of water is to your choosing.

Step 3: Put in Tea Bag(s)

Place the tea bags into the water filled jar.

Step 4: Let Soak

Screw on the top and place the jar outside in your sunny spot. Leave your tea outside for a few hours, or to your liking (there is no minimum or maximum to this). I let it soak until it was dark in color.

Once it is done soaking bring it inside.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Let the tea cool off before serving. Mine was so hot I poured myself a glass and had to put it in the freezer to cool down before I drank it. Add some ice to keep your drink cold and a mint leaf to give it some class. Enjoy!
