A supereasy to make pockethole jig. and drill for it.
Since i have no pictures of it, i show you the video and sketchup drawings. you can also downlod the sketchup file for 3D viewings.

Step 1: Step 1: Collecting Wood
Simple base block. see photos for measurements.
Sort of wood is not that important as long as you don't use total crap.
-You can use the wood itself as guide for your pocketholedril, or you can insert 2 metal tubes like i did to extend life.
My pipes had an outside diameter of 10mm and inside 8mm. the dril i used to drill in the wood was 10mm offcourse, and my homemade drill for the pocketholes is 8 mm.
Step 2: Step 2: Start Drilling
I also included the sketchup file incase you like to see it in 3D.
So drill straight down with the 10mm drill in the square block. the holes are on 1/4 and 3/4 of the block in a line.

Step 3: Step 3: Saw It Straight Trough
At this moment you jam the pipes in to the end, or you just skip it and saw it from corner to corner like this. This will give you a 22.5° angle if your block is the size as mentioned before.
If you have put in the pipes, use a metal saw. Otherwise a woodsaw is fine enough. This should be an exact cut, so be very carefull whensawing that your saw straight. Otherwise all of your pocketholes will be less perfect too...
When the 2 pieces er perfectly sawn, take the upper piece and turn it 180° horizontaly.(so up stays up)
If you have done it right, you have the same as above.
Step 4: Step 4 : Glue or Screw It Together
When everything is allright, you see the same as in the pic above before you ;-).
Use whatever you have to make sure those 2 parts can't move from eachother. Very strong glue or Some screwing like i did. Be aware that both parts have the tubes, so put your screw where there is not pipe.
Step 5: Step 5: Trim the Upper Side and Finish
Trim the upperside like in the pics.
For easier attaching you "can" put a triplex bottomplate on it so it is easier to fix on your projects.
The Drill.
the drill is a tuned metal drill of 8mm. i have put the drill in a drill press, let it turn at high speed, then use my anglegrinder to shape the top smaller. It is not for pussies, but very doable. Safety is what you make of it.
You can also just buy a drill of the "kreg jig". They are not extremely expensive. The jigs cost more.
