Introduction: TIC TAC FLASH LIGHT (solar Powered)

During the rainy season we have power cuts a lot of time . So ,this is a small flashlight made out of reused materials.

It runs on solar energy and is very cheap and simple to make .

Step 1: MATERIALS REQUIRED.

MATERIALS

1. TIC TAC box

2. An L.E.D

3. A battery of 3.7 v (i salvaged mine from a broken MP4)

4. A small solar panel (I salvaged it from a calculator)

5. A diode

TOOLS

1. A soldering iron

2. Scissors (optional)

Step 2: MOUNTING THE LED

After collecting the materials ,we have to mount the L.E.D on top of the TIC TAC box.Make a hole in it using soldering iron or scissors according to the size of L.E.D. The L.E.D should fit into it perfectly.

Step 3: MOUNTING THE SOLAR PANEL

After mounting the L.E.D we have to mount the solar panel onto the box. Make a hole in the box where the positive and the negative terminals go and pass the wires (terminal wires) through it. And then stick it onto the box using hot glue/fevibond/etc.

Sorry - I forgot to take the photos

Step 4: MOUNTING THE SWITCH

Just like that of the solar panels, make two holes where the wire would go, pass the wires through the holes and mount the switch using hotglue/fevibond/etc. I mounted the switch on the side of the box.

Step 5: CONNECTING THE CIRCUIT

After mounting the L.E.D ,solar panel ,and the switch we now have to connect the circuit. Connect everything according to the schematic given above .

Step 6: FINISHING

After connecting the circuit ,insert the battery into the box and close it.if wanted you can decorate it.
