Introduction: The Problem With Shoelaces
Someone already struggling with the tragedy of losing a hand, or even an entire arm, should not be embarrassed or have to stress about trying to do something as simple as tying a shoe.
Step 1: Make the Knot
Take the two laces and cross one over the other, then fold that one underneath. Pull to tighten down.
Step 2: Using the Device
Take the device and put the laces through the bottom. The device should be at the bottom near the knot.
Step 3: Make a Loop
Take one lace and feed it through the top of one of the outside holes to make a loop.
Step 4: Repeat
Repeat step number 3 on the other side.
Step 5: Knot Number Two
Cross one of the loops over the other and then pull through the bottom.
Step 6: Tighten Down
Use your hand to tighten down the knot created.
Step 7: Remove the Device
Take the laces out of the holes and slide the device over the knot.
Step 8: Repeat, If Necessary
Repeat steps 1-7 on the other shoe, if needed.
