Introduction: Trick-or-Treat Bones

Are these a trick or a treat? A treat, of course! Pretzels, almond bark, and mini marshmallows combine for this sweet and salty treat that is perfect for trick-or-treaters of every age.  So easy to make and so delicious!

Supplies

Supplies:

Medium microwave-safe bowl

Cookie sheet

Parchment paper

Two forks

Ingredients:

Almond bark

Pretzel sticks

Mini marshmallows, semi-frozen

Step 1: Melt Almond Bark

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt 6-8 ounces of almond bark in microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or just until melted, stirring every 20-30 seconds. Watch carefully once almond bark begins to melt as it can burn quickly.

Step 2: Dip Pretzels

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Add 6-8 pretzel sticks at a time to melted almond bark. Use one fork to completely coat a pretzel. Lift up and allow excess to drip back into bowl. Use a second fork to push pretzel onto parchment-lined cookie sheet. Repeat for as many pretzels as desired, melting additional almond as necessary. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until hardened.

Step 3: Add and Dip Marshmallows

Push a mini marshmallow onto one end of each pretzel and dip into almond bark to coat. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until hardened. Repeat steps for a second marshmallow on other end of each pretzel.

Step 4: To Serve:

To serve, place in a bowl and enjoy as you serve to trick-or-treaters!

Other serving suggestions:

1.       Place bowl on a large platter and arrange other candy around bowl.

2.      Place a “bone” into each finger and thumb of clear gloves. Add other candies as desired to palm of glove. Tie with ribbon. Hand out gloves to trick-or-treaters.
