Introduction: How to Make a Healthy Almond Milk Turmeric
The scientific name for turmeric is curcuma longa, and actually belongs to the ginger family. It is widely cultivated in India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.
The active ingredient, curcumin and other chemical compounds in turmeric have numerous health benefits because they have powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant properties. It’s very important to use good quality organic turmeric powder.
Turmeric is also a very rich source of many essential vitamins (vitamin B6, C, E) and minerals (iron, potassium, manganese, zinc, copper, magnesium and calcium).

Step 1: Turmeric Milk Made From Almond Milk
Place ½ tsp (1 gram) of organic turmeric powder into an empty glass. Then add ½ tsp healthy oil (avocado, virgin coconut virgin olive, or faxseed). Also add a pinch of ground black pepper and a ½ tsp honey for sweetness. (optional)
Step 2: Heat 1 Cup of Almond Milk
Heat 1 cup of almond milk
Step 3: Pour Heated Almond Milk
Pour heated almond milk into turmeric mixture.
Stir and enjoy!
