Introduction: Upcycle a Metal Locker

Check out my Youtube video for this easy project on converting a metal locker into a great storage solution for our daughter's bedroom.

Step 1: Found an Old Metal Locker

We found an old metal locker at a flea market in our area. Got a great deal @ $20.00.

Step 2: Locker Was in Pretty Good Shape

It only had minor rust damage, but nothing too serious

Step 3: A Great Find!

The locker is 6'6"h X 15"w X 18"D

Step 4: Sanding

Decided to use 60 grit sand paper and my orbital sander.

Step 5: More Sanding

Took about 30 minutes to do.

Step 6: More Sanding...

What i couldn't hit with the sander i did myself with a piece of 80 grit

Step 7: Paint!

Took it outside and used 4 cans of "grape" spray paint from the big box store. easy!

Step 8: Added the Bling

My wife hit it with one can of glitter paint.

Step 9: The Color Pops!

Step 10: Let It Dry

kept it outside to dry for a few hours.

Step 11: Done!

Super Easy project that has turned into a great storage solution!
