This tutorial will show you how to make a Vault boy magnet with polymer clay!

Step 1:

Tools & materials:

-Yellow polymer clay

-Turquoise polymer clay

-Beige polymer clay

-Hot glue gun & hot glue

-Magnet

-Black acrylic paint

-Black marker pen

-Hobby knife

-Ball tool

-Toothpicks

Optional:

-Plastic wrap

Step 2: Let's Get Started!

You can print any Vault Boy Logo you want!

Start by rolling a small amount of turquoise clay into a sheet and use a hobby knife to cut out the shirt. Make two small log of clay to sculpt the arms, flatten the clay and trim off any excess. Then use a ball tool to blend the seams.

Step 3: Thumbs Up!

Roll a small ball of beige clay and shape it into a thumb, make 3 small log of clay and arrange them behind the thumb you just made. Use a toothpick to carve extra details.

Step 4: The Face of Vault-Tech

Take a small amount of beige clay, and shape it just like the face of vault boy!

Here's a simple technique to sculpt his face: "Connect the dots"

First, cut out the printed face and place it above the clay, then use a toothpick to pierce holes where details will be sculpted and simply connect the dots!

Moving on to the hair:

Make a small banana shape, slightly flatten it and use a ball tool to accentuate each curve. Then, slightly press his hair on the top of his head.

Step 5:

Mix beige and yellow clay and sculpt the outline of the vault suit.

With a black marker pen or a thin paint brush, carefully paint along the creases.

Optional:

Paint the shirt in a lighter blue color with acrylic paint if the turquoise clay seems too bright.

Fit the different parts together on parchment paper and bake the clay
(following manufacturer's instructions on the package=> for fimo: 230°F (110°C) for 30 minutes.)

Step 6: That's All Folks!

You can use a hot glue gun, to glue the polymer clay figure to a magnet!
