Introduction: Wall Mounted Bar
Step 1: Materials
For materials, I used 1x6 pine. The sides and middle divider were cut to 12" in length. The bottom and top were cut to 16" in length. And the shelf was cut to 4". I used some 3" screws pre-drilled to hold everything together, and 6 5" screws to mount to the wall. The latch that holds the lid closed is formed from an old metal hanger and some 1/2" screws. Then for the rope which holds the lid level for the mixing area "bar", you can use whatever rope or straps you have lying around.
Assembly is straightforward. For the backing, I used 3/8" plywood. And for the trim on the front, I used some ends of a 2x4 that I had laying around. Then to finish it all off, I used map gas to burn it, burning more heavily along the edges to give it some depth. Total build time for me using a table saw and compound miter saw was 2 1/2 hours.
