Introduction: White Wings Glider

About: i really like planes

hi today we will be making a white wings glider.

here are the tools and things that you need to make it

Supplies

we will need:

170gsm cardstock

a craft knife

glue stick or white glue

rubber bands

a pencil

and the pdf file to print out the plane onto the cardstock

Step 1: Pdf Files

print out the file. this file contains the templates for your plane

Step 2: Step 1 Print the Pdf Out Onto the Cardstock

once you have printed it out there might be some curve in the paper from printing so try to make the paper flat as possible.

Step 3: Cut Out All Parts for the Wings.

cut out parts 9 and 10 once you have cut them out use a ruler to bend them then glue them together with glue. tip (do not apply to much glue just a thin layer on top). also use the dihedral gauge to get the correct angle on the wing.

Step 4: Fuselage

now cut out the pieces shown above

Step 5: Fuselage Part 2

now glue these 2 pieces together like this. (tip: cover the pieces in wax paper and put a book on the wax paper so you can keep the pieces flat while they are drying).

Step 6: Fuselage Part 3

now using the 2 parts you just glued glue the next piece on slowly you will form the body by laminating all the parts together

Step 7: Fuselage Part 4

now glue these together using the same method as before make sure to line them up.

Step 8: Fuselage Part 5

now these pieces have flaps on them and you will need to fold them correctly if not done correct it will mess up how you will mount your tail and wing onto the fuselage/body.

to fold the pieces right put your piece down on the table with the printed side up then fold the flaps upwards towards you.do this on both pieces.

Step 9: Fuselage Part 6

now glue them together .do not forget to line them up precisely.

Step 10: FUSELAGE Part 7

now cut these parts out.

Step 11: Fuselage Part 8

now bend the flaps on these pieces

Step 12: Fuselage Part 9

first take the piece on the left and flip it. it is the piece on the top of the photo in the middle. now glue these 2 pieces together with on flipped. also from now on i am going to call the fuselage the fuse ok. because it is getting on my nerves writing long words again and again.

Step 13: Fuse Part 10

now glue these pieces together. by that I mean glue the pieces on the picture on the left together.

Step 14: Final Step for the Fuse

now glue these pieces together remember to line then up.

Step 15: Wing Mounting

now mount the wings onto the body using the flaps on the fuselage.

Step 16: Tail

now cut this piece it is your horizontal stabilizer also try to make it as flat as possible. any warps will effect the plane directly.

Step 17: Tail Mounting

now glue the tail onto the fuse using the tabs at the back.

Step 18: The Finished Product.

now here is the finished product. it might be a bit nose heavy so I suggest cutting away bits of the nose little bit at a time. to get the correct balance the flight that i am showing you is only short glide if you go outside you can get about 30-55 seconds at best if you launch it off of a catapult. that is what the rubber bands and the pencil are for

Step 19: Here Is My Tinkercad Design on This Glider

Step 20: Enjoy

if your glider nose dives bend the tail slightly up and the opposite if it is going down
