Introduction: Breaded Garlic Roasted Chicken Breast

About: I think my interests tell a lot about me, I'm a multimedia artist which means I work in whatever medium grabs my attention, paint on canvas is very relaxing and acrylic paint can be mixed with paper to make a …
I'm not a big chicken eater but it is better for you than red meat and its rather inexpensive, especially when your local grocery has a buy one get one special on skinless breasts. Thats where this all started, I looked up recipes and found a TON, after reading way to many I took the basic information and added my own twists. The results were really tasty

Step 1: From the Pantry

I'm going to cover the whole dinner not just the chicken so lets raid the pantry and refrigerator.
a couple of skinless chicken breasts
 potato chips
 toast
 Italian Salad dressing
an egg
 garlic
 package of frozen onion rings
 frozen veggies
 velvetta cheese

Step 2: Marinate

Lets get started. Place the chicken breasts in a plastic ziptop bag or other container, add a teaspoon of chopped garlic (2 finely chopped cloves if your using fresh) a couple table spoons of olive oil and enough italian salad dressing to coat well, refrigerate for 15-30 minutes while you prepare the rest of your ingredients

Step 3: The Chicken Breasts

Using a food procesor I ground up the last potato chips from a bag and 2 pieces of lightly browned toast and added a teaspoon or so of italian seasonings to make "bread crumbs"  poured those in a container and laid each chicken breast (still dripping from the marinade)on the crumbs, turning the breast to coat it completely and laid them on an aluminium covered oven tray sprayed with cooking spray. Place in a preheated 350f oven for 30-35 minutes

Step 4: The Onion Rings

This is super easy.. open the bag of frozen onion rings and spread out on a foil lined and cooking sprayed oven tray, ignore the cooking directions and cook with the chicken. If you want them crispier turn the heat up to 450 for 5minutes after the chicken is done

Step 5: The Veggies

the choiceof veggies is up to you of course, I had frozen brocciolli and cauliflower in the freezer, a steamer basket in a heavy pot will cook frozen veggies in minutes, I started about 20minutes after the chicken went in. For a quick and easy cheese sauce I cubed up some velvetta cheese, added a couple tablespoons of milk and microwaved a minute at a time for 5minutes, stirring between each minute

Step 6: Dinners Ready

Take the chicken out and let sit for a couple of minutes (maybe you wanted your onion rings crispier so now you can crank up the heat. Portion each ingrediant onto your plate/s and enjoy
