If you've seen Randofo's instructable on a DIY Pocket Protector, you probably wanted to make one like me! But I didn't have any of the tools or supplies on hand so I made one out of simple household items! So be awesome! Make a Disposable Pocket Protector!

Note: This is made for a 4 in. x4 in. pocket.

Step 1: Materials and Tools

Collect these common household items:

Materials
  • 8.5 x 11 in. card stock
Tools
  • Printer(must be capable of borderless printing)
  • Paper cutter or scissors
  • Stapler
  • Photoshop or GIMP(optional)

Step 2: Print!

I have included the templates in a zip file in a JPEG file format. You can chose a blank template or one I decked out with logos and text. Also, if you want, you can edit the blank one to your liking's with GIMP or Photoshop. Once you have selected your template you want to use, set your printer to print borderless, and print it out on card stock.

Step 3: Cut!

Take your paper cutter or scissors and cut out the template as straight as you can. Simple.

Step 4: Fold!

Now that your template is cut out, lets fold it! Make sure your logo or phrase(if any)is facing up. First, fold the tabs in. Then take your long end and fold it forward till it is flush with the tabs. Flip the template over. Fold the smaller end forward till it's flush with the tabs. Follow the pictures if you need help.

Step 5: Staple!

Take your stapler(a mini stapler in my case)and staple the tabs and the main base together. Repeat on the other side. Follow the pictures if you need help.

Step 6: Wear!

Wear it! Load it up with pens and pencils! Make some more for your geeky friends! Thanks for reading!
