Introduction: Easily Pick Up Many Pieces From the Laser Cutter Bed
Here's a quick tech tip for using laser cutters.
I was cutting veneer for an inlay project on the laser cutters at TechShop, and I had a LOT of little tiny pieces to pick up off the laser vector grid. It's way more difficult than it looks -- for some reason, you just can't get your fingers or fingernail under the piece to pick it up.
So here's the solution: use blue painter's tape! Simple as that -- you pick up the pieces with blue painters tape, then you simply attach the painters tape to a surface, sticky side out with another pice of tape, and use tweezers to pick off each piece as you need it!
It couldn't be easier.
FYI, I made it at TechShop.
