Introduction: Easy Origami Cube
This origami cube is an easy and great project. This box not only looks cool, but you can place objects inside as well. It is also very simple, so anyone could complete it in a short amount of time.
Supplies needed:
-6 pieces of square paper
-(optional) a hard object to crease your edges
Step 1: Fold the Paper in Half
Take one sheet of paper then fold it in half. Make sure that before you fold, you have the white side of your paper up if you have origami paper. Make sure that the sides are lined up well and the crease is good.
Step 2: Fold Into Middle
Undo the previous fold. Now take the left and right sides of the paper and fold it in so that it meets the previous crease. Make sure the crease is good.
Step 3: Corner Folds
Now unfold the previous step. Then fold the top left and bottom right corners so that they meet the previous crease that is on its side of the paper. Make sure the crease is strong.
Step 4: Fold Into Middle Again
Now keep the corners folded. Then fold the the left and right sides of the paper so that they meet the center crease like step 2.
Step 5: Bottom Left Corner Fold
Now keep the previous fold. Then fold the bottom left of the paper up to the right so that it lines up with the right side. Then tuck this fold into the right flap.
Step 6: Top Right Fold
Keep the previous fold. Now fold the top right corner down to the left of the paper so that it lines up with the left side. Then tuck this fold into the left flap.
Step 7: Preparation Crease
Now, turn your piece over and then fold the top and bottom corners to the center triangle and then unfold them.
Step 8: Repeat
Repeat steps 1 through 6 five more times. You should now have 6 pieces in total.
Step 9: Center Piece
First you will need to place one of the peaces so that the top point faces right and the bottom point faces left and the "x" is on top.
Step 10: First Insertion
First insert one piece into the left slit of the center piece so that it fits well.
Step 11: Second Insertion
The second insertion is the same as the previous except on the right side. Make sure it fits snugly into the slit.
Step 12: Inserting on the Top
Now, grab another piece and insert the top part of the center piece into the side of the piece so the the piece is pointing up to the left and down to the right.
Step 13: Bottom Insertion
Next, take another one of your pieces and do the same as the previous step but on the bottom. So, put the bottom of the center piece into the side of you new piece and make sure the new piece is pointing up to the left and down to the right.
