Introduction: Green Bean Bundles

About: I am a single dad of a 11th grade son! I enjoy this website so much, so many things to learn and try to create. I at first thought it was stealing ideas, but being able to put your own special twist is even m…
Recipe obtained from my step-mother Katrina, and with the praises I just received at Christmas Lunch, these will be my new specialty to take to lunches/pot luck meals.

Step 1: Ingredients

As with any recipe, just double or increase as needed depending on number of servings you want to have. For this, I will list what was provided to me in the recipe.

1lb Fresh Green Beans
1pk Bacon
Italian Dressing
Toothpicks

Step 2: Prep Time!

Cut the ends off which have the stems, and any other bad ends. I always trim off the discolored ends from prior snapping off the beans from stems. Once trimmed, rinse and add to pot with water, ensuring you cover the beans completely. Bring to boil and continue uncovered approx. 20min or until tender.

Step 3: Next Step of Prep!

Drain off water and rinse. This will cool the beans enough to handle with hands. Cut bacon strips in half.

Step 4: Again, Another Step!

Taking 6-8 beans and wrap with 1/2 strip of bacon, securing with toothpick. Place in baking dish, estimated size 13" x 9" glass dish. Pour Italian Dressing over all bundles. Cover with plastic wrap and place in fridge over night to marinate.

Step 5: Final Step ! ! !

Drain off Italian Dressing marinade. Bake in oven 350° for 20min. Remove, turn over bundles and bake additional 20min. Now you have to try your hardest to handle the awesome aroma until time to serve! Enjoy!
