Introduction: Ice Cream Cone Plush
Here is a quick plushie DIY for Summer - a cute Ice Cream Cone that never melts! =D
Watch the video tutorial or follow the written steps to see how you can make it yourself.
Step 1: What You Will Need
- Lilac fleece
- Brown felt
- Stuffing
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Needle and thread
- Pen
Step 2: The Cone
Lay down a sheet of brown felt and make small markings 8cm away from the corner to create an arc. (This is more clearly explained in the video).
Cut along the markings then glue the straight sides together to form a cone.
Step 3: The Top of the Ice Cream
Cut a circle of lilac fleece with a diameter of 10cm.
Make a running stitch around the circumference then place some stuffing in the centre and pull on the thread to form a ball.
Cut a strip of fleece 50cm x 3cm, fold it in half (as shown in the video) then make a running stitch all along the edge and pull on the thread to obtain a ring of gathered fabric.
Stitch this ring closed and glue it onto the ball. (This is more clearly explained in the video).
Step 4: Finishing Off
Fill the cone with stuffing and glue it to the rest of the Ice Cream.
Step 5: Enjoy Your Lovely Summer-themed Plush!
