Ideas for Tiny Leather Scraps

Have a bunch of tiny leather scraps that seem too small to do anything with? Here is one idea with five quick applications.

Step 1: Materials and Tools

• Tiny Leather Scraps
• Circle Punch
• Leather Stamps
• Mallet
• Leather Dye
• Glue

Depending on Project:

• Thumb Tacks
• Magnets
• Cufflink Blanks
• Earring Posts and Backs
• Ribbon

Step 2: Technique and Application

Dampen the leather (I find it cuts better and it needs to be done for stamping.)

Cut circles from tiny leather scraps by placing punch on leather and then wacking a few times with the mallet.

Then center leather stamp over circle and pound a few times with the mallet.

Let Dry.

Stain.

Let Dry.

Have fun gluing to cuff-link blanks, thumb tacks, magnets, ribbons, earrings, etc.
