Introduction: Monster Pops
Create creepy monster marshmallow pops!
Ingredients:
- large marshmallows
- lollipop sticks
- candy eyeballs
- green candy melts
- purple candy melts
- white candy melts
- black candy melts
- parchment triangles or disposable piping bags
- styrofoam block

Step 1: Melt Candy Melts
Melt candy melts over a double boiler following directions. Once melted, add vegetable oil per directions to thin candy melts.
**SPECIAL NOTES: candy melts are also known as coating chocolate. A double boiler does not mean the water should boiling, it should not even be fully simmering. If you can not touch the bowl, IT IS TOO HOT! Candy melts will seize if too hot. If too hot, remove from double boiler, wipe moisture from bottom of bowl and allow to cool so comfortable to touch- candy melts will thin back out.**

Step 2: Assemble Pop
Dip lollipop stick into the candy melts and press it into the marshmallow firmly. The candy melts will help seal the marshmallow to the stick. Dip the marshmallow into the candy melts to coat evenly. Tap lollipop stick against rim of bowl to remove excess. Rotate in hand and gently tap lollipop stick to smooth candy melts all the way around marshmallow. Place in styrofoam block to allow to dry standing up.
Step 3: Attach Eyeballs
Attach the candy eye balls while candy melts still tacky. You can press them into the marshmallow slightly to create a buildup so it appears the monster has eyelids.
Step 4: Refrigerate
Refrigerate pops for 5 minutes to allow candy melts to crystallize and harden completely.
Step 5: Finishing Touches
For mummies: use a parchment bag or disposable piping bag and fill with white candy melts. Cut end and squeeze while moving your hand in a back and forth motion over front of pop to create bandage appearance. Repeat on back of pop. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to harden candy melts.
For Frankenstein: dip marshmallow in green candy melts, apply eyeballs and refrigerate as described in previous steps. Melt black candy melts or chocolate chips and dip top of marshmallow to create appearance of hair. Using a piping bag, fill with candy melts used for hair and pipe a mouth. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to harden candy melts.

Melt black candy melts or chocolate chips and dip top of marshmallow to create appearance of hair. Using a piping bag, fill with candy melts used for hair and pipe a triangle at hairline to create a widows peak. Pipe a mouth as previously directed; use white candy melts to create fangs. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to harden candy melts.
