Introduction: Origami Yoda
Make your own origami Yoda! Based on the instructions given at the end of "The Strange Case of Origami Yoda" by
Tom Angleberger.
Step 1: Gather Tools
You'll need:
- Printer Paper
- Scissors
- Pencil or Pen
- Ruler or Tape Measure
Step 2: Fold Paper Into Six Sections
Fold Paper in half (hamburger style), then into three. You should have six equally sized segments.
Step 3: Cut the Six Segments Apart
Step 4: Pick One of the Six Segments to Use
You only need one segment to make your origami yoda, but if you mess up you've got extras.
Step 5: From the Top of the Paper, Mark 2 Cm In
You'll use this mark for the next fold.
Step 6: Fold Top of Paper Down, So That the Folded Portion Is 2 Cm
Step 7: Fold Down a Right Triangle on Each Corner
Step 8: Bend the Triangle Back and Forth to Loosen Them Up
Step 9: Tricky Part: Invert Each Triangle So That They're on the Inside of the 2 Cm Fold
Step 10: Turn Paper Over
Step 11: Use Ruler and Pencil to Mark 1 Inch From Bottom
Step 12: Fold Back Along the 1 Inch Line
Step 13: Tricky Part: Make a Little Zig-zag
Step 14: Last Tricky Part: Fold the Zig Zagged Part Back

Step 15: Fold Paper Up, Leaving Just a Bit of Space Below the Pyramid Stuff
Step 16: Flip Over
Step 17: Fold the Corners Together So They Meet
You should have a sort of triangle now.
Step 18: Fold Open the Ears
Step 19: Flatten the Head
Step 20: Flip Over
Step 21: Crunkle the Ears
Step 22: Draw the Face
Step 23: Done!
