Introduction: Tricycle With a Bucket. (Planter)
Hello everyone. This is a small project easy to make and fun. Enjoy!!
Tools:
- 100mm Hole saw
- 75mm Hole saw
- 35mm Hole saw
- Tape Measure
- Pencil
- Pliers
- Drill
- 3mm drill bit
- Hand saw
- Band saw or table saw
- Sander with 80 and 100 grit sandpaper.
Materials:
- Glue
- Wood (any kind should do, I use Pine)
- 2.5cm and 2.0cm nails
Here is a step by step video of the making proccess:
Step 1: Making the Wheels
First of all you need to make three wooden rings using a 100mm hole saw and a 75mm hole saw. Those will be the wheel rims. (Pictures 2 and 3)
And for the spokes you will need some 3mm x 3mm strips of wood. I cut those on my band saw.
Once you have your rings cut, you need to make three more wooden discs using your 35mm hole sawfor the hubs (Picture 4). Take each hub and mark the holes for the spokes. A template for that is included in this instructable. Then using a drill with a 3mm drill bit make the holes for the spokes (Pictures 5 and 6). Feed the spokes through the hub with some glue and then glue them in the wheel rim (Picture 8).
Step 2: Making the Bucket
For this step you will need four pieces of wood 10 x 10 cm. I cut mine on my band saw and gave them a more beveled shape. So each piece on the top is 10cm and at the bottom 8cm.
Fix them using some glue and 2.0cm nails.
Step 3: The Rear Wheels
With two pieces of wood 1.6 x 2.0 x 12 cm make a T shape construction (Picture 2). Attach the wheels on each side and secure with some glue and nails. Finaly attach the bucket as shown (Picture 4)
Step 4: The Front Wheel
For the front wheel you will need two pieces of wood 0.8 x 2.0 x 18cm.
Attach them on the wheel as shown on the picture 2. At this point I also cut two small pieces of wood to reinforce the construction (Pictures 3 and 5).
Now glue the front wheel on the bucket as shown in picture 4.
Tou will also need two sall pieces for the handles. Take a piece of wood and cut out two pieces 1.3 x 1.6 x 2cm. Attach them as shown in picture 6 with some glue and nails
Step 5: The Basket
As a last and optional step you can make a small basket for your tricycle.
So with four pieces make a small box 5.0 x 3.0 x 2.5cm (W x H x D)
Thanks a lot for watching and please vote if you think its worth it.
