Introduction: Yellow Graduation Dress
I was look around for THE perfect graduation dress, but then I decided, since I had the knowledge, time, and a sewing machine, I could easily make my own.
I bought the fabric at Joanns for only $2.99/yard! I wish I had bought more... I self-drafted the bodice, and made the skirt using a big rectangle. I box-pleated around the rectangle until I got the width that I wanted. I added my first invisible zipper. :) The dress turned out better than what I expected it to be.
I was too eager to start making the dress that I forgot about this contest and I forgot to document the process of making it... so I started taking pictures of adding the zipper, but then got lazy and stopped.
sorry for the bad quality of pictures. my camera wouldn't cooperate. & it was hard taking pictures the dress on my body.
