Introduction: Super Juice Pack
Have you ever wanted the ability to recharge your electronics whilst camping, or on the job site.
Step 1: Acquire an Old Cigarette Adapter From Disposed Car
I ripped this out of an old Hyundai Elantra
Step 2: Identify the Positive or Hot Lead.
While working with DC you want to make sure you have your polarity set correctly. in this case the hot or positively went to the center of the DC adapter
Step 3: Attach the Ground or Negative Lead
All you really need to do is make sure to connect the negative lead 2 the outside chassis of this cigarette adaptor. In this case I used some blue painters tape to adhere the exposed ground lead to the chassis. This also helps in the final product. As you see you in a moment
Step 4: You Are Finished..... Continue
This is all you really need to do to finish this instructable but I decided to finish mine out with an old flashlight
Step 5: Remove the Inside of One of Those Old LED Flashlights
You can do whatever you want here I'm just showing you the outside of an old flashlight
Step 6: Pay Attention
So earlier when I said be sure to make sure you have your polarity correct this is what happens when you don't pay attention. You explode your very nice USB car charger.
Step 7: Connect to Your Power Supply
Here I'm using an 18 volt 4 amp hour lithium ion battery. Make sure your negative or ground lead is hooked up to your negative or ground side of your power supply. Then make sure your positive line is hooked up to the positive side of your power supply. Welcome to direct current. The power adapter should condition from 12 to 24 volts DC input to 5 volts DC output.
Step 8: Attach Your USB Charger Device
So I usually use this to charge my phone, Not my Xbox controller.
It was hard to show me charge my phone with my phone. I really hope this helps somebody.
It's just a common sense approach to a problem we all have. I have used this to help charge several smartphones and other devices over a three day weekend. This setup should/could/will charge several devices several times. It lasted my friends and I 3 days using iPhones and androids.
