Introduction: Candystick LED

About: An enthusiast of LEDs

A simple circuit where a binder clip will be used as a switch in this circuit and if the clip is down the circuit will be closed and LED will glow.

Supplies

1) Light Emitting Diode (LED) (1 per circuit)

2) Candystick (1 per circuit)

3) Binder clip (2 per circuit)

4)Aluminum foil

5) 3V Coin cell (1 per circuit)

6) Wire ( 1m wire will be more than enough to make 2 to 3 circuits)

7) Wiring Tape

Step 1: Cut Candystick

Cut one end of the candystick as shown in the image.

Step 2: Cover With Aluminum Foil

Cover the candy stick with aluminum foil we'll need to remove some foil from both ends as shown in image.

Step 3: Attach Wires

Take a small piece of wire and connect to negative(-) terminal of the LED. Take a little big piece of wire and connect it to positive(+) terminal of LED as shown in the image.

Step 4: Place the Cell

Place the cell on the aluminum foil as shown in the image with the wire from negative(-) terminal of the LED and fix it with wiring tape. Don't use much tape because we are going to use Binder clip for additional support.

Step 5: Place Binder Clip

Place binder clip on the cell and remove it's ends as shown in image.

Step 6: Attaching Wires

Attach wire of positive(+) terminal of LED to one of the end of another binder clip and place binder clip on the candystick remove one end of it which doesn't has wire attached to it. Note that the connection may be loose if the binder clip which has wire attached could not touch the aluminum foil properly. Then adjust the wire until end of clip rests properly on aluminum foil.

Step 7: Organize Everything

Organize everything with wiring tape and final product will be something like shown in image.
