Introduction: How I Designed a Simple Threaded Container With Autodesk Fusion 360.

About: Our grandkids keep me busy!

"How I Designed a Simple Threaded Container With Autodesk Fusion 360" is, well, a short Instructable on how I designed a simple threaded container with Autodesk Fusion 360. The video illustrates the steps I took to design this model, and the entire design was completed and ready for 3D printing in around five minutes using the Autodesk Fusion 360 sketch, extrude and thread features.

The container dimensions I used in the design were for a specific application requiring the use of M55x4 threads. However, I've included the Autodesk Fusion 360 .F3D file "Container, Threaded v2.f3d", and, when used in conjunction with the video, should allow you to alter the dimensions and thread sizes to suit your own requirements.

But if you simply want to print the container and lid as designed, I've include the files "Container.stl" and "Lid.stl" ready for slicing.

As usual, I probably forgot a file or two or who knows what else, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask as I do make plenty of mistakes.

Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Cura 4.1, and printed in PLA on both an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
