A simple motorized K'nex contraption brings an easy to make paper hand puppet to life! Thanks to @reassociate for the six step design for the hand puppet and to my associate Shelby Olsen for making the dog puppet (and others) that we are using in this instructable.

Step 1: Make a Hand Puppet

For this project, you will need a paper hand puppet made out of construction paper. There's an instructable for this at https://www.instructables.com/Paper-Dog-Puppet/

Step 2: Make Base Assembly

Step 3: Make Motor and Crank Assembly

Step 4: Mount Motor and Crank to Base Assembly

Step 5: Assemble Hand Puppet Platform

Step 6: Mount Hand Puppet on Puppet Platform

Tape the lower part of the hand puppet as shown with the front of the puppet facing away from you.

Step 7: Make Hand Puppet Crank Shaft

Punch a small hole as shown in the puppet. Assemble the puppet crank shaft. Mount as shown.

Step 8: Put It All Together

Attach the puppet and puppet platform to the rest of the construction. Attach the puppet crank shaft to the rest of the motor and crank shaft assembly as shown. You're DONE! I hope you build and enjoy this construction.
